IES LEOPOLDO QUEROL
School Trip to Bournemouth
Last Saturday 6th of May, day of King Charles III coronation, some students of 3rd of ESO of the Leopoldo Querol Highschool headed to London Stansted very early in the morning for a wonderful school trip.
We got to Bournemouth, our destination, at about 7 pm and the host families were waiting for us.
The following day we went sightseeing around the city, visiting the famous Mary Shelley’s tomb, and we spent the afternoon in a nearby town called Christchurch, where we took a ride on a boat.
On Monday, we went to London by bus and we visited some landmarks like the Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, St. James’ Park, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, where we had lunch, and we finished our tour in the British Museum.
The next three days, we had English classes in a school in the morning, and we did some recreational activities in the afternoon. On Tuesday, we did a Scavenger Hunt around the city. On Wednesday, we visited Poole and its stunning natural harbour.
All the students had an unforgettable experience and they have learnt about the culture, the people and the traditions and festivals of the country while improving their skills in the English language.
